In the winter season there is not a direct bus from the train station "Bahnhof" to "Fürenalp" - you have to change the bus or you walk to the next busstation "Sporting Park" or "Kloster" (4 minutes walk). On the way back from station "Fürenalp" to the train station "Bahnhof" it is a direct bus. The bus is free of charge!

by train
International train connections to Zürich and Luzern. It then takes 45 minutes from Lucerne to Engelberg with the Zentralbahn. Zürich – Luzern (45 Minutes), every half an hour. There is a shuttle bus to the Fürenalp station from the railway station or a taxi: Titlis Taxi 079 903 93 73 oder Hess Taxi 079 669 94 15.

by car
Motorway A2 (Basel – Gotthard) , at the exit Stans-Süd leave the motorway and follow the main road, which is open all year, 20 km up to Engelberg. Once in Engelberg follow the signs for Fürenalp following the main road and at the crossing veering to the right towards the monastery . Carry on straight for 600 meters past the monastery and turn right at the small petrol station. Distance from Luzern to Engelberg ca. 38 km (40 Min.).
Parking
For cars at the valley station - parking fee CHF 5.-- per day. No special parking area for bus/coach or camper van.
by airplane
It takes 2 hours on the train from the airport Zürich-Kloten or 1.5 hours if you are driving. Other possible airports are Basel and Geneva.
