Fuerenalp - Staeuber - with the most varied attractions (W21)

While you hike you will be accompanied by murmuring mountain streams droping down from "Grassengrat". You walk along the river "Engelbergeraa", past the imposing waterfall "Stäuber", over fresh smelling Alpine meadows with a splendour of flowers. During the summer months different alpine huts invite you for a drink and regional dishes. The hike is also part of the "Alpine cheese trail" and we can recommend a visit in the alpine cheese factory "Surenen" at  Aebnet or Staefeli. Even the lift with the cable car Fürenalp over the steep stonewall is a special experience. At the mountain restaurant Fuerenalp you can at least relax and enjoy some local specialities as the eyes are drawn towards the mountain summits.

If you like to take a shortcut, we offer a special ticket for the cable car Fürenalp und Aebent. Please ask at the station. Also the Alpine cheese factory Surenen and Staefli is open in the summer months. Before you go on a hike in spring and autumn, please ask for the opening status.
