Via Ferrata Fürenalp – one of the most epic in Switzerland
The via ferrata over the Fürenhochflue is one of the best classic via ferrata routes in Switzerland. Constantly exposed to the heights, the route climbs up to Fürenalp via iron steps and pins, overhanging ladders and continuous crosswalks. May 2024: Renovation via ferrata Fuerenalp
Dear friends of the via ferrata Fuerenalp. We work at the via ferrata Fuerenwand this spring. Depending on the weather conditions we can start with the renovation and work on it. An exact opening time is difficult to announce now. The opening is between end of May and middle of June 2024. We look forward to the new season.

Master the sporting challenge of the via ferrata Fürenwand! It takes a great deal of courage and energy for this adventure. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery on the way up. This adventure demands a good dose of bravery and a bit of strength.
In former times the very steep and high Fürenwand could only be overcome by a technically very difficult climb. The steep, exposed via ferrata offers a completely new vertical experience. A route that has meanwhile become a classic.
Rental of the via ferrata set
Equipment for the via ferrata can be rented by us at the valley station Fürenalp. We recommend to book the via ferrata equipement by telephone +41 41 637 20 94 or email in advance. We have a limited amount available (helmet, climing harness, via ferrata brake).

The via ferrata Fürenalp is only recommended for experienced via ferrata climbers. Excellent physical condition, a sure foot and no fear of heights are essential! Please check the weather forecast.
For unexperienced climbers we recommend you a guided tour. Under the professional guidance of a mountain guide you learn the correct handling of safety, equipment and climbing technique.
