The host and head chef cook Urs Portmann loves the mix of typical and traditional dishes as well as creating extraordinary menus you would not expect.
Try and taste "beef tripe à la chef", topped with alpine cheese, served with steamed potatoes. Fürenalp is famous for this special dish and also for other typical dishes such as Swiss potato Rosti with raclette cheese, crispy bacon and a fried egg, Swiss alps stlye macaroni with potatoes in creamy sauce, crispy onions served with steamed apple slices
